The Wronged

The meaning of Túrin's alias Neithan.
After the accidental death of Saeros at his hands, Túrin fled the land of Doriath where he had been brought up, and lived for a time among a band of outlaws beyond its western borders. It was Saeros' taunts of Túrin that had led to his death, and therefore Túrin took a new name among the outlaws, Neithan, meaning 'The Wronged'.
